Ginger & Heliconia Blossoms... at Miss Emma's

Our neighbor, Kimberly Malega recently visited Miss Emma's Garden and Private Restaurant on the All Pines Road off the Southern Highway (after the Sittee River turn and after Maya Center). She had a delightful day touring the fabulous gardens and farm and a wonderful lunch of garden produce and shrimp. She brought us these gorgeous Ginger blossoms.  The cone-like "brack" is really stunning and yesterday had orchid-like flowers protrudng from it... which had passed by today. The orange "Bird of Paradise" look-alike is actually Heliconia (same family) from our garden. Needless to say, we will be making a trip to visit Miss Emma's!
